Description

The ConnectedRide Cradle serves as a holder for using the smartphone as a navigation device while riding. The BMW Motorrad Connected app can be used to call up the navigation map and vehicle data in the field of vision via the multi-controller. Environmental Protection: -the ConnectedRide Cradle is protected to IP65. -when selecting your smartphone, make sure it has sufficient weather protection. Most common smartphones already offer sufficient protection against weather conditions. Smartphone and Bluetooth information: -To enable control of the app through the control element of the navigation preparation on the vehicle (MMC), a Bluetooth connection (Bluetooth Low Energy) is necessary. Bluetooth pairing takes place within the BMW Motorrad Connected app and is only required once during initial setup. When recognized again after switching on, the devices connect automatically for the next ride. -To securely fix the smartphone in the ConnectedRide cradle, BMW Motorrad recommends removing the smartphone cover if its dimensions interfere with an optimal fit of the smartphone in the ConnectedRide cradle or inductive charging. -Smartphones must have at least Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.2 in order to meet the security requirements (LE Secure Connections) for the connection. Smartphones with older Bluetooth versions are therefore not supported.
